Its only fitting that in my periodic tribute to the 80’s, I include one of my favorite songs from the era: Modern English’s I Melt With You.
This song is from the movie Valley Girl starring Nicholas Cage. Love the movie…its soooo coming of age for me. Anyway, I vividly remember the video for this song and the controversy it stirred up as it was one of the first videos to show a black man and white woman romantically dancing together. Very controversial indeed. When I went to download it for your viewing pleasure, I found another version added to scenes from another great movie, Donnie Darko…so needless to say, you are getting both versions.
Donnie Darko..another interesting movie starring two of my absolute favs.. Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal …seriously, I will watch anything they are in…I think they both are brilliant.
