First of all, before I start this post, I just have to show you what I ran across today…this was my jr. year in college…sorority picture…
stop laughing…I pulled it off 
I ran across something else today, which is the very thing that birthed this post. Its no new news that New Kids on the Block will be reuniting and going on tour this year, but did you know, that I thought they were ” totally boss” back in the day? Its true, I was a New Kid groupie….and Danny if you’re reading this…call me, I live in Houston 
This walk down memory lane just wouldn’t be complete without a story, and you’re in luck because I just happen to have one!
It was the fall of 1989 and Janet Jackson had just released her latest album, Rhythm Nation. My bff Lorie and I took off to Louisville to see her in concert. It was a total dance party, and one of the most high energy shows I have ever seem. We knew that our fav band NKOTB would be playing at the same venue the next night, so we had planned on spending the night in Louisville in hopes of catching a glimpse of the guys the next morning before the show. We had seen them before, but couldn’t get tickets for this particular show…below is a pic from their show in Carbondale, IL:

now, back to the story… So, the next morning, we drove to the venue and parked in the back near the tour buses. We saw some body guards and asked if the guys were here. They told us that yes they were, but that they were riding around on their mopeds and it might be a while before they came back. Well, we waited a little while, talked to some people, and it dawned on me that I had parked in a no parking zone…I told Lorie that I would be right back and took off to move my car. As I drove around to re-park, the parking lot was rather empty and I was driving a little fast (give me a break, I was 19) zig-zagging through cars, when all of the sudden a moped pulled out in front of me! I slammed on my breaks, as did he, and we both stopped. My front bumper was inches away from his back tire…he pulled off his helmet, and flashed me a smile and said “I think we both need to slow down a little”, them took off again…I sat there like a complete idiot thinking to myself, ” I almost ran over Jordan Knight!”
Needless to say, I sped back to park the car and ran over to tell my buddy that they were back in the vicinity and that I almost killed one. It wasn’t too long after that when they pulled up…when Jordan saw me standing there, he stopped to pose for us as we took the pic..check them out below:

Although I don’t listen to their tunes anymore, I am curious to see what kind of music they will be putting out.

wow….that’s all i can say
