Its that time of year again. When you hear Christmas music on multiple stations and in all the stores. I love it!

Next time you hear the song, “The Little Drummer Boy”, think about the song and just what it was the little guy had to offer…he didn’t give Christ his drum. Why? Because He doesn’t want our material things, He wants the talents that He first gave us, handed back to Him in an act of worship. This boy had nothing to offer except the beat of a drum. Not a particularly pretty sounding instrument like a cello or trumpet, but it was enough because it was really from his heart. A beat. A stick pounding on a thin piece of animal skin stretched across a hollowed out piece of wood. This made God smile and honored the Baby Jesus. Don’t you love that you serve a God that allows you to come to Him so simply, yet everything about Him is so complex. Nothing you give is too small or insignificant for Him, as long as it is given with the right heart.
